Our Ministries

We are committed to ministering to those who attend our church, as well as those who do not attend but are in need.  We affirm that every Christian has a gift and a place to serve within the community of believers, which is the local church.  Please let us know how we can be of service to you, or assist you in finding your place of service.

Children

Sunday School classes for all age groups meet every Sunday morning at 9:30 am.  Sunday School classes allow for various studies in the Bible's books and themes.

Children's Church & Worship is held at 10:30 am.  Children congregate with their families in the sanctuary, a short children's message is delivered, and then the children proceed to children's church.

Extended Nursery is offered during all services.

Awana is a Bible-centered youth ministry providing weekly clubs and programs for pre-schoolers through middle schoolers.  Our goal is to reach boys and girls, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.

Youth

Forest Hill Baptist Church is committed to helping the youth develop a close-knit relationship with Jesus Christ and to one another.  To this end, the youth participate in endeavors that cultivate spiritual maturity, which will help prepare them for the adult world.

Youth participants between the 7th and 12th grades meet on Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, and Wednesday evenings.  Youth meetings consist of a time of fellowship, praise and worship, and a time of instruction in God's Word.

Young Adult

Crossroads is the name of the young-adult group that meets on Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 10:30 am.  In addition to their Sunday-morning class, this ministry features many social activities and spiritual events, one of which is an annual retreat.  The people who benefit most from the Crossroads ministry are college students, young married couples, singles, and persons who are entering the workforce.

Adult Men

Men’s Ministry includes events, meetings, and other activities of interest to men.  The men's ministry holds a Saturday-morning breakfast on the second Saturday of every month, beginning at 8:00 am.  Additionally, a small-group Bible study is conducted on Saturday mornings from 7:00 to 9:00 am.

Adult Women

Women’s Ministry The purpose of the Women's Ministry is to teach women Biblical truths regarding women's issues and to provide many opportunities for women to serve, both within the church and in outreach.  We do this through special women's Bible studies, women's prayer, various activities, and a yearly retreat.  Also, you have your choice of three women's bible-study classes that meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am.

Seniors

Seniors’ Ministry provides activities and programs for those who are about 55 and older. They meet every month to engage in supportive fellowship, to attend special events of interest to seniors, and to participate in church-related projects.
